PhD research project name: Exploring the acceptability and preferences for advance provision of medical abortion pills among women in Australia
Freya is a first year PhD candidate in the Department of General Practice at Monash University, supervised by Professor Danielle Mazza, Dr Olena Ivanova, and Dr Maira Sohail. Her research investigates women's attitudes and preferences regarding advance provision of medical abortion pills as a model for early abortion care in Australia. By generating user-informed insights into the perceived feasibility of this approach, her project seeks to inform policy and practice aimed at improving access to abortion care. With a Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne, Freya aspires to contribute to the development of innovative, evidence-based models of reproductive healthcare that advance women’s autonomy and address systematic barriers to equitable access.
