Our Story

The SPHERE Centre of Research Excellence is an NHMRC-funded network of multidisciplinary researchers, healthcare providers and paradigm-shifters. We seek to improve awareness, availability and access to sexual and reproductive health services for all Australian women. We work at the forefront of women’s sexual and reproductive health, where our research and evidence-based consensus statements inform policies, practices and public discourse.

Our focus

By integrating the delivery of contraception, abortion and preconception planning into primary care, SPHERE is advocating for better access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services to improve the lives of women across Australia.
