Jane Laidlaw

Jane Laidlaw is a Nurse practitioner in General Practice, Launceston, and co-founder of Mission Health a nurse practitioner-ledtitioner led clinic for persons experiencing homelessness in the north of Tasmania. Jane has presented at conferences about the model of care and the impact of Mission Health. Jane has written for publications about the work with Mission Health. Jane has also provided a podcast for the Australia Practice Nurse Association and co-authored a research paper evaluating the nurse-led homeless clinic (doi: 10.3390/ijerph182312770). Mission Health has been nominated for several awards and has received the Super Spirit Award 2022 for Excellence in Community Service in Launceston. Jane presented at the 2023 Australian College of Nurse Practitioners Annual Conference and was honoured to be presented the 2023 Beverley McGavin award for Excellence in Clinical Leadership. Beverley McGavin was an early graduate of the Nurse Practitioner program in the USA and a mentor to many. In 2024 Mission Health clinic was awarded a Medicare Champion Award. This was presented this at Government House, Canberra.
