Dr Satish Melwani

Dr Satish Melwani is a dentist and a public health researcher with keen interest and experience in noncommunicable disease prevention, health literacy research, maternal and child health, and the health system strengthening. He is enthusiastic about influencing health policies and programs through a health literacy approach to ensure no one is left behind and has worked around the same with the World Health Organisation HQ in Geneva. Satish's PhD focuses on codesigning health literacy solutions with pregnant women and mothers in Tasmania to reduce the intergenerational impact of noncommunicable diseases. He has joined as a Research Fellow and will be working on the outcome evaluation of the AusCAPPS Trial.
