Dr Jessica Botfield

Jessica is a clinician-researcher with research and clinical expertise in sexual and reproductive health. She is a Senior Research Fellow at SPHERE (at the Department of General Practice, Monash University) and provides research support to the Family Planning Australia Research Centre. Jessica is a qualitative researcher and brings to her research and collaborations her experiences as a researcher and a nurse working in academic, clinical and community roles. Her research interests focus on promoting equitable access to contraception, particularly postpartum contraception, through nurse- and midwifery-led models of care. Jessica is Project Manager of the ORIENT trial at SPHERE and supervises a number of Honours and PhD students.
