Melanie is a GP in South Canberra at a practice targeting vulnerable and disadvantaged people, as well as Chief GP and Primary Care Advisor for ACT Health. She has a special interest in reproductive health and reproductive autonomy, and has completed her Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health and is trained in non-directive pregnancy counselling, implanon and IUD insertions and provision of early medication abortion. She has previously worked in a rural general practice, Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Organisation, a sexual health and family planning service in the ACT, and an online women’s health clinic specialising in providing early medication abortion.
