ANISA ASSIFI

Anisa works in the public health space, focusing on sexual and reproductive health research in the areas of adolescent health, abortion safety and access. She is currently a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the Australian Centre for Public and Population Health Research at the University of Technology Sydney.  Her PhD is examining adolescents' access to abortion services in New South Wales. Anisa has previously worked as a Consultant at the World Health Organisation in Geneva, in health promotion with Country Health South Australia and as a Research Assistant with Karolinska Institute.

 

DR KELLY MCNAMARA

Kelly is a clinician researcher with an interest in reproductive health and epidemiology.Her research is focused on in improving access to contraception and, in turn, improving reproductive health outcomes for vulnerable women, particularly women who use alcohol and other drugs. Kelly is a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney and is supported through a university scholarship.  She is also undertaking advanced specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology and holds a diploma of obstetrics and gynaecology with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
